1. Service Description
Sahbi is a mobile application that helps friends coordinate real-world meetups. Users can broadcast their intent to meet up to selected contacts via SMS. Sahbi is operated by Sahbi ("we", "us", "our").
2. SMS Messaging
When a friend reaches out via Sahbi, you receive a single text with a web link to view and respond to their request. No SMS opt-in is required to use this service. After accepting a friend's invite on our webapp, you can optionally enable "Get future invites by text" to receive SMS notifications when friends want to meet up. These messages are event-driven and non-promotional.
- Message frequency: Varies, typically 1-5 messages per month
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from all future messages
- Help: Reply HELP to any message for information, or contact hello@sahbi.xyz for assistance
3. User Conduct
Users must only broadcast to contacts they personally know. Sahbi is for coordinating meetups between friends, not for unsolicited messaging or spam.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Sahbi.
5. Limitation of Liability
Sahbi is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service. We facilitate introductions between friends but are not responsible for any real-world interactions.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of Sahbi after changes constitutes acceptance. For questions, contact hello@sahbi.xyz.
Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
Sahbi is designed with privacy as a core principle. We minimize data collection:
- Phone number: Used for authentication via one-time passcode. Stored as a cryptographic hash — we never store raw phone numbers on our servers.
- Display name: Optional name you choose to show friends.
- Contacts: Contact phone numbers are hashed on your device before being sent to our server. We never see or store your actual contact list.
- Location: Rounded to block-level (~100 meters) when you set an intent. Deleted within 24 hours.
2. SMS Data
When you receive an SMS from Sahbi:
- Your phone number is received from Twilio (our SMS provider) and immediately hashed — the raw number is not stored in our database.
- Your consent status (opted in or opted out) is stored as a hash, not a phone number.
- SMS message content is not stored after delivery.
3. How We Use Information
- To facilitate meetup coordination between friends
- To send SMS notifications when friends want to connect
- To honor opt-out requests
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
- Location data: Deleted within 24 hours
- Intent data: Expires after 4 hours
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Opt-out records: Retained indefinitely to honor your preference
5. Your Rights
You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP. To request data deletion or ask questions, contact hello@sahbi.xyz.
6. Third-Party Services
We use Twilio for SMS delivery and Supabase for data storage. These services have their own privacy policies.
